Erebus confirms resignation of managing director

MANAGING director Shannen Kiely will depart Erebus Motorsport after next week’s Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, the team has confirmed to V8 Sleuth.

Kiely has been with Erebus since June 2016, progressing from her initial rank of PR/media manager to become MD four years later.

It’s been a turbulent time of late for Erebus since winning the 2023 Supercars drivers’ and teams’ championships, centring around a well-documented stand-off with Brodie Kostecki.

That matter remains unresolved as Supercars heads to Albert Park for Round 2 on March 21-24.

There, Jack Le Brocq and Todd Hazelwood will once more form the squad’s driver line-up.

Erebus has indicated Kiely’s impending departure is unrelated to the Kostecki saga, with the popular figure tipped to take a break from the sport altogether.

Prior to Erebus, Kiely worked at Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport and Walkinshaw Racing.
