MATT Stone Racing’s Repco Bathurst 12 Hour entry will be run under the Supaglass Racing banner after the long-time Cameron Hill sponsor committed to backing the car.
Hill will share the #10 IRC GT with Supercars teammate Nick Percat and Trans Am regular John Holinger in the February 16-18 spectacle.
The trio will compete in the invitational class, although 2011 Great Race winner Percat is not ruling anything out.
“Bathurst is always a wild place so who knows what can happen, but hopefully we have a solid race and get a good result out of it,” he said.
Hill noted a two-fold approach to the event, of both gunning for a result but also maximising the outing as a warm-up for the Supercars season-opener.
“For us, we saw it is an important part of our Supercars program to enter and get the miles around Bathurst,” said the Canberran.

“It’s not something we’d regularly do, but the fact there is a round of our championship one week later, we thought it was at a disadvantage if we weren’t doing it.
“It’s bonus seat time, but of course, we’ll be aiming to win our class and do the best we can, however the focus is just getting quality miles around a track that you don’t get to race on everyday.
“The car itself is a great package. It’s very user friendly, you jump in and everything makes sense.
“There are driver aids such as traction control and ABS, so you can make it easier or harder to drive, but for when Nick or I are in, all the settings will be quite low to keep it raw for our purposes.”
Several other Supercars drivers will line up in the 12 Hour including Jack Le Brocq, Broc Feeney, Will Brown, Jaxon Evans, Cam Waters, Thomas Randle, Chaz Mostert, David Reynolds and Tim Slade.
