THE Sandown entry list for the Kumho Tyres V8 Touring Car Series is in, with 10 old-school Supercars to take part.
The Australian Racing Group-owned category, dedicated to pre-Car of the Future Supercars, will race at Sandown this weekend as part of a Shannons SpeedSeries event.
It’s the Kumho Series’ first standalone round at Sandown since 2019, when Broc Feeney sealed the title to put himself on the path to Triple Eight stardom.
The September 8-10 action marks Round 4 of the season, with Jude Bargwanna sitting atop the standings with a 47-point margin in hand.
Two drivers are set to make their maiden starts of 2023, with Andrew Cook aboard a Team Dynamik-built VZ Commodore, and Derek Hocking finally due to make the grid.
Antonio Molluso meanwhile returns after missing the past two rounds, driving an ex-Stone Brothers Racing FG Falcon.
Other categories racing this weekend at Sandown include TCR Australia, National Trans Am, Australian Production Cars/GT4, MARC Cars Australia, and Formula Open.
