HAS MARK SKAIFE RETIRED FROM RACING?

FOR Mark Skaife’s return visit to the V8 Sleuth Podcast powered by Timken, we saved the toughest question for last: has he retired from racing?

The five-time Supercars champion and six-time Bathurst 1000 winner drove his last Supercars race at Mount Panorama in 2011, where he narrowly missed out on securing a seventh ‘Great Race’ victory to his tally.

He has made only a handful of serious appearances behind the wheel in the years since, including a guest Porsche Carrera Cup appearance at Albert Park in 2012 and his drive of a BMW M6 in the Bathurst 12 Hour in 2017.

Skaife openly answers the question at the end of a podcast that covers a very diverse range of topics off the back of the release of his new book Mark Skaife: The Complete Illustrated Autobiography, available now for purchase in the V8 Sleuth Bookshop.
