THERE will be two Kiwi additions to the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia field this weekend at Taupō Motorsport Park.
New Zealand-based squad International Motor Sport will enter Sam Fillmore and Rick Armstrong in Pro-Am, giving a local flavour to the category’s first trip across the ditch.
Also on the 21-car grid will be NZ-aligned regulars Fabian Coulthard and Marco Giltrap.
Harri Jones takes the series lead in, fresh off a controversial finish to the Albert Park season-opener where he was fined for a post-race altercation with Dale Wood.
Wood is second in the standings, at 35 points back.
Carrera Cup Australia’s only previous international round came in 2017 at Sepang, Malaysia.
Among the names which raced at Albert Park but won’t be at Taupō are Scott Pye and Nick McBride, plus Pro-Am half-dozen Marc Cini, Sam Shahin, Matt Belford, Indiran Padayachee, Rodney Jane and Daniel Stutterd.
