SUPERCARS champion Scott McLaughlin will return to the paddock for the first time since switching to IndyCar.
McLaughlin hinted at the development this afternoon, posting a photo of a 2022 Supercars access-all-areas pass under the Supercars Media banner.
Supercars Media is the arm which produces the championship’s broadcast, indicating he will appear in an on-the-ground television role at some stage this year.
It’s not yet clear which event(s) McLaughlin attend, with three rounds remaining after this weekend: the Repco Bathurst 1000 on October 6-9, Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 (October 28-30), and VALO Adelaide 500 (December 1-4).
McLaughlin left Supercars in October 2020 to pursue his full-time IndyCar dream in the United States.
He is now a three-time race winner in the American open-wheel series and an outside shot at the title.
The 29-year-old inked a multi-year contract extension with Team Penske during the week.
