New Supercars docuseries set for release

A DOCUMENTARY series focused on the Repco Supercars Championship’s five Kiwi drivers will launch this weekend.

Titled Road to Taupō, powered by Repco, the series has been produced by Supercars and Neil Crompton’s AirTime Media and consists of two, 20-minute episodes.

The show aims to provide new insight into drivers Ryan Wood, Jaxon Evans, Matt Payne, Andre Heimgartner and Richie Stanaway as they prepare for the ITM Taupō Super400.

It will premiere on Supercars’ website and YouTube channels from 6pm AEST this evening (Saturday).

Supercars Head of Broadcast Nathan Prendergast said: “It’s incredible to have such a strong representation of New Zealand drivers in the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship.

“We have tracked the five fast Kiwis across the start of the season as they prepare to race on home soil in front of a packed house in Taupō.

“We delve into the close personal bonds of friendship and family life along with understanding the drive to win on home soil.

“This mini doc is a great insight into the anticipation of this inaugural event.”
