JAYDEN Ojeda will make his Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour debut next month aboard KTM’s Xbow GT2.
Ojeda has been on the Supercars scene since battling Broc Feeney for the 2019 Super3 title.
Super2 podiums and a maiden Bathurst 1000 start came the following year but it has been a grind from there, ‘The Juice’ unable to secure a full-time main game ride.
Coming off a wildcard campaign for Walkinshaw Andretti United, he was a frontrunner to replace Todd Hazelwood at Matt Stone Racing this year but narrowly missed out to Cameron Hill.
While he awaits his big break, Ojeda will tackle Mount Panorama’s once-around-the-clock annual event.
The 23-year-old will join Glen Wood, Trent Harrison and David Crampton in vying for class honours in the six-strong Invitational field.
“The driving line-up is exciting. Glen and Trent have been driving with me a for a long time, they know me and the car really well and we all get on superbly,” said car owner Crampton.
“Jayden is a great talent and it’s good to be able to give a young guy a shot.
“He and I train together and do a lot of simulator work and coaching, so it makes sense to have him in the car. It’s exciting.”
The Xbow last year became the first GT2 car to race in the Bathurst 12 Hour.
Its involvement in the 2023 edition became in doubt due to persistent engine dramas, until a fresh unit was flown out this month.

“With a year’s worth of experience under our belts we know what the car is capable of and we’re looking forward to a competitive race,” said Crampton.
“KTM have been fantastic in supporting us and their efforts to get us an engine in time ensured we could make the grid.
“It’s up to us to do the job and fly the flag well for them now.”
