One-off Falcon produced for model car expo

A ONE-OFF Will Davison livery is being specially produced to feature at the upcoming Diecast Model Expo.

Among exclusive products at the November expo will be a 1:18 scale version of the 23Red Racing scheme run only at the 2018 Ipswich SuperSprint.

23Red mixed up its look at that event to promote title backer Milwaukee’s new range of 12.0-amp battery powered tools.

The Ford team doubled down by making a temporary number change on the FG X Falcon from #230 to #120.

That marked one of only two occasions in ATCC/Supercars Championship history that #120 has been used – the other being by Ford Performance Racing for Steven Richards at the 2008 Oran Park swansong.

Queensland Raceway proved an important location for 23Red and its owner Phil Munday, with Davison delivering the squad’s maiden podium the following year (2019).

The 2023 Diecast Model Expo will be held on November 4-5 at Tabcorp Park in Melton, northwest of Melbourne.

A treat for model car collectors, tickets are on sale here from $24 for two days (general admission).

Exclusive models including the above Davison Falcon and the 2017 Triple Eight Red Bull Commodore ZB prototype will only be available for purchase by attending the expo.
