THOMAS Randle’s ride for the 2023 Adelaide Motorsport Festival has been confirmed, with the second-year Tickford Racing Supercars driver hopping in a Formula 3000 car.
Randle will feature in the event’s new Tipo F1 category aboard a 1990-built Reynard 90D designed by accomplished Australian engineer Malcolm Oastler.
The V8-powered beast is dressed in a 7 Up livery akin to the colours in which Michael Schumacher made his Formula 1 debut for Jordan at the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix.
Randle, who explored the European open-wheel scene before focusing on Supercars, will be part of a high-profile field of drivers at the March 25-26 event.
Sauber F1 star Valtteri Bottas will be in attendance and may even get a taste of a V8 Supercar, while Craig Lowndes, Tim Slade and Todd Hazelwood are among other key names getting involved.
