Revealed: When Feeney is next off-contract

TRIPLE Eight Race Engineering should have at least three years of stability with its next set of Supercars primary teammates.

Speaking on this week’s Castrol Motorsport News Podcast, Triple Eight boss Jamie Whincup quietly revealed the expiration date on Broc Feeney’s existing contract.

“We’d love to have him around forever,” said Whincup, who co-drove with Feeney to win the Sandown 500 last weekend.

“Who knows what the future holds but he’ll definitely be here for the next three years because that’s what he is contracted for.

“We want to grow with him, we want to keep working with him, keep trying to make him better. That’s what we do.”

The length of Feeney’s contract was not previously clear.

The end-of-2026 situation puts him on equal footy with incoming teammate Will Brown, who’ll replace NASCAR-bound Shane van Gisbergen on a three-year deal also through 2026.

Feeney is already a six-time main game race winner and is yet to even celebrate his 21st birthday.

Few other drivers are known to be definitely contracted beyond next season, other than David Reynolds who is joining Team 18 on a multi-year deal, plus Nick Percat and Cameron Hill who will form Matt Stone Racing’s line-up in both 2024 and 2025.
