JOHN Bowe will line up today for one last race as a Touring Car Masters full-timer, even after his Holden Torana A9X was scratched.
Bowe instead will race another A9X after Jim Pollicina offered to step aside for the Sunday race in Adelaide.
“Last night my team from Ravage Raceworks found an issue with my Rare Spares Torana A9X, which will prevent it from starting today’s final TCM race,” wrote Bowe.
“But Jim Pollicina has offered me his A9X Hatch to drive in my final TCM race!
“What an incredible gesture by an amazing bloke!! I am so touched by this!!
“Jim is part of the Ravage Raceworks team and a really versatile racer, but this is way beyond the call of duty! Thank you Jimmy!!”
Bowe is set to start from the rear of grid, with the season-closing race to kick off at 11:25am local time (11:55am AEDT).
