SEN confirms lead Supercars radio commentator

SPORTS Entertainment Network (SEN) has confirmed V8 Sleuth’s Aaron Noonan as its lead caller for its new-for-2023 radio coverage of the Repco Supercars Championship.

Noonan will lead SEN’s team beginning this Sunday with live commentary and analysis from the streets of Newcastle.

“The start of any new Supercars season is always filled with plenty of expectation, and, with the new Gen3 cars, this year is no exception,” says Noonan.

“There’s going to be plenty to talk about in SEN’s coverage of Supercars this year and I’m looking forward to bringing the biggest and best of Australian motorsport to listeners in 2023.”

SEN announced in mid-February it had signed a deal with Supercars to provide coverage of the 2023 championship as its official AM radio partner.

Commentary from Newcastle can be heard live on SEN 1170am (Sydney), SENQ 693am (Brisbane), SEN Gold Coast 1620am, SENZ stations in New Zealand, SEN Fanatic on DAB+ and the SEN app.

Noonan will be joined by SEN experts including Supercars veteran James Moffat to bring all the action directly to fans.

SEN Content Manager Jeremy Markham said: “SEN is pumped to be part of the Supercars family this season, and with Aaron onboard, we are confident we’ll have plenty of engagement with fans across Australia and New Zealand.”

The move marks a return to Noonan’s broadcasting roots, having started his career on radio in his native Ballarat in the 1990s ahead of a move into print and, later, television commentary.
