National Trans Am calendar released

THE 2023 schedule has finally been unveiled for the National Trans Am Series.

The V8-powered category will race at seven rounds this year: Symmons Plains, Phillip Island, Winton, Sydney Motorsport Park, Queensland Raceway, Sandown and Bathurst.

“The demand for Trans Am racing in Australia is increasing, and we have reflected that with an expanded calendar for 2023,” said Australian Racing Group chief operating officer Liam Curkpatrick.

“The quality of circuits and events that we have in store is first class.

“There’s a great mix of big and small circuits, and the beauty of Trans Am is that they suit just about everything.

“Adding the 100km finale at the new Winton event has been competitor driven.

“Everyone has enjoyed the 100km races that we’ve done at Mount Panorama, so this will be an extra feature for the all-V8 Winton event, and we will look at doing more in the future too, if there’s a desire from competitors and our growing fanbase.”
