POWERBROKERS connected to The Bend Motorsport Park have foreshadowed exciting event news for 2024 in the wake of it dropping off the Supercars calendar.
The Bend was the unlucky omission for 2024 as Supercars opted to stay at 12 rounds for now, although the South Australian venue has been promised an enduro event for the following year.
V8 Sleuth understands one of the conditions of that agreement is a non-winter date.

In the meantime, The Bend is pressing on and will release its full 2024 calendar on December 1, “with more large-scale announcements to come regarding major events”.
Tailem Bend is already a 2024 fixture for the Shannons SpeedSeries (May 24-26) and Super Trofeo Asia (June 7-9).
Its new dragway also recently hosted Round 1 of the 2023/24 National Drag Racing Championship.
“We are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to share further plans for major events at The Bend in 2024,” said venue CEO Alistair MacDonald.
“We have some exciting developments to announce over the coming weeks.”
South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas added: “We’re disappointed that The Bend is not featuring on the 2024 Supercars calendar but the enduro round for 2025 is a great outcome for The Bend and for regional SA.
“The Shell V-Power Motorsport Park is becoming a major tourism destination for South Australia evidenced by the Spring Nationals hosting over 35,000 people across two days in October.
“We will work with the venue on further major events for 2024 and are looking forward to making some announcements in the coming weeks.”
Supercars first visited The Bend in 2018.
