The unofficial 2023 Enduro Cup standings

FOR the first time since 2019, Supercars has completed multiple endurance rounds in a single year – only this time there isn’t the dedicated silverware attached to that mini-season.

From 2013-19, the Pirtek Enduro Cup was a popular championship within a championship, awarded to the highest scoring pairing across the various two-driver events.

The concept died, or at least was put on the backburner, when the COVID-19 pandemic caused Supercars to scale back the enduro element of its calendar.

And so, for seasons 2020-22, the Bathurst 1000 was the only annual two-driver race.

The Sandown 500 returned this year to lead into the Great Race, but the Enduro Cup has not as yet.

V8 Sleuth takes the opportunity to see how the unofficial Enduro Cup standings would look, based on points accumulated across Sandown and Bathurst.

The usual suspects feature towards the top, but there are some key winners and losers.

Anton De Pasquale, Matt Payne and James Courtney are among those to have gained substantial ground in the overall championship.

On the flipside, DNFs proved costly as ever, including for Cam Waters and Mark Winterbottom.

Two rounds remain on the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship schedule: the Gold Coast 500 (October 27-29) and the Adelaide 500 (November 24-26).
