SHANE van Gisbergen will race this weekend in the colours which Marcos Ambrose took to victory lane 13 years ago.
Trackhouse Racing today revealed an Ambrose-inspired Quad Lock livery for the #97 Kaulig Racing Camaro that SVG is piloting in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
This weekend’s action will take place at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina.
SVG’s yellow-and-black scheme is a throwback to the livery in which Ambrose won in 2011 at Watkins Glen (Cup Series) and Montreal (Xfinity Series) for Richard Petty Motorsports.
Ten rounds into the season, van Gisbergen is 15th in the Xfinity standings, with a best result of third at Atlanta.
His next outing in the top-tier Cup Series is due to come at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 26.
