Tickford shows off #6 Morrow Mustang

TICKFORD Racing has revealed the second of its 2023 Super2 Series liveries, being the #6 Ford Mustang which recruit Elly Morrow will steer.

Morrow, Supercars’ leading female driver, moved in the off-season to the team which first brought Simona De Silvestro to the championship in 2015.

She joins after a season in which she contested Super2 with Brad Jones Racing plus made a pair of S5000 appearances in the end-of-year Tasman Series.

Steeline has followed Morrow across to Tickford, with the company’s green and blue colours underpinning the design which Morrow will carry.

“I’m absolutely stoked to get the Super2 season underway with the team here at Tickford, and even more excited to do so with these awesome colours on our #6 Ford Mustang,” she said.

“The car looks fantastic and I’m really looking forward to getting up to speed.

“Obviously it’s going to be a big year with the Gen2 cars new to the series, but I’m really excited to wrap my head around this Mustang and work with the team at Tickford and work with Brad (Vaughan) as a teammate.

“We’ve gotten along well so far and obviously the team at Tickford have had a ton of success at this level, so we’ll work hard and hopefully find that magic combination to create our own success stories out on the track.”

Morrow will have a multiple race-winning chassis beneath her in FPR 1519, which has Chaz Mostert among its roll call of former drivers.

Tickford’s Super2 duo will complete testing at Winton Motor Raceway later this month ahead of the season-opening Thrifty Newcastle 500 on March 10-12.
