THE Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival was another huge success story last weekend with a range of stars and cars on hand for the annual event.
Part of the highlight included a range of ex-V8 Supercars, including the very first Holden Commodore VE V8 Supercar in the hands of its owner/driver Brad Neill.
The Queenslander has had the car – which was the car used by Holden for the homologation of the VE in V8 Supercar racing – restored to its Mark Skaife HRT 2007 livery and the AMF marked an opportunity to take it back to the track (well, part of it!) where Skaife had raced the car in the ’07 Clipsal 500.
And yes, look carefully in the video and you can see it’s period-correct with a H-pattern gearbox!
Crank up your speakers and enjoy some crispy Clayton Commodore V8 noise!
