THE final day of the season marks a raft of farewells in the Repco Supercars Championship paddock.
Walkinshaw Andretti United has begun its Sunday at the VAILO Adelaide 500 with presentations to two of its key departures; driver Nick Percat and engineer Adam De Borre.

Percat is leaving WAU after a difficult two-year tenure in its famous #2 entry, bound for a career reset at Matt Stone Racing.

A much-anticipated return to the Walkinshaw family that had raised him into a Bathurst 1000 winner in 2011 has mysteriously failed to fire.
But that’s not been due to a lack of effort from the driver, who will today race with a bonnet signed by each of the WAU crew members.
The bonnet will be gifted to Percat as a memento after the weekend.
Also out of WAU is Chaz Mostert’s long-time engineer Adam De Borre, who has opted to step back from the grind of Supercars Championship duties in 2024.
De Borre and Mostert have a special relationship, having worked together for all bar one of the driver’s full-time Supercars seasons across three different teams.
WAU presented De Borre with a framed photo this morning, while Mostert will give his race helmet to his engineer and friend after the season finale.
