When Supercars’ true 2024 form guide will emerge

BROC Feeney has won half of the six Supercars races thus far in 2024, but he says a true form guide won’t become clear until Round 4 at Wanneroo Raceway.

Feeney was pleased that Triple Eight’s stellar Bathurst pace was evident again at Albert Park, but he believes those circuits plus Taupō Motorsport Park next up are somewhat outliers from the rest of the calendar.

So, he’s not getting ahead of himself just yet.

“I think we (Triple Eight) have sort of carried over, we had some good race pace at the end of last year. The big one for us is qualifying and I think that’s been our biggest improvement this year,” he told V8 Sleuth.

“My sort of headspace is I feel the form guide is going to be from Perth onwards.

“You have got three circuits that are quite different from the rest of the year until we get to Perth, so I feel like from there we will start to figure out who the consistent guys are going to be, but so far so good for us.”

Feeney is 17 points behind championship-leading teammate Will Brown.

After Taupō and Wanneroo, the calendar goes to Hidden Valley, Townsville, Sydney Motorsport Park, Symmons Plains, Sandown, Bathurst again for the 1000, Gold Coast and Adelaide.
