Bold new livery for British-based V8 Supercar

A FORMER Garry Rogers Motorsport V8 Supercar has been unveiled in a bright new colour scheme.

Alex Sidwell’s Holden Racing UK operation has tonight revealed the 2024 livery for its GRM VF15 chassis.

The bold livery features the famous Lion, as well as the Batman logo on the rear wing endplates as GRM ran in 2013.

“What happened is at the start of the year when we put the rear wing on, I said to the guys ‘this thing looks like the Batmobile’ and they all laughed so I decided to put a picture of Batman on there,” Garry Rogers had explained to the official Supercars website.

“This is the first year we have had these rear wings, so we started this at Clipsal.”

The 2013 season marked the start of the Car of the Future era, with GRM VF15 spending the year in the hands of Alex Premat.

The Holden VF Commodore only made fleeting main game appearances in following seasons, for Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport’s Russell Ingall at the 2014 Gold Coast and Phillip Island rounds, and lastly powering Aaren Russell/Drew Russell’s 2015 Great Race wildcard.

After a couple of years in Super2, it was shipped to the UK in 2021 to join Sidwell’s collection.
