DICK Johnson Racing will take familiar colours into the Gen3 era of the Repco Supercars Championship.
The team has revealed its 2023 livery on its first Gen3 Mustang race car ahead of a shakedown at Queensland Raceway on Tuesday.
The livery is largely the same as that campaigned by DJR since its primary sponsorship from Shell V-Power began in 2017.
Underneath though it’s all change and drivers Will Davison and Anton De Pasquale are both eager to get behind the wheel.
“The car looks fantastic, it’s different – as soon as you see it, it looks tough, it looks fast, it looks slick,” Davison said.
“With our cars built here we’ve been able to really refine the build and now it’s time for us to get in and get comfortable.
“There’s a lot of new things ahead of us that we need to understand, but we’re all pumped to see it on the track and get the year underway.”
Its FINALLY here! 🤯

De Pasquale shifts into Supercars mode following a disappointing Bathurst 12 Hour with Grove Racing, in which he didn’t turn a lap in the race due to an early crash.
“I’m super excited for this new generation of Supercars, it’s a different look for our team,” he said.
“The livery is a little bit different but still looks as iconic as we know the Shell V-Power colours are.
“Everyone in the workshop has been working super hard, so I’m looking forward to that first day the cars roll out and hopefully it brings us a lot of success along the way.”
DJR has been heavily involved in the development of Gen3 as Ford’s homologation team.
The Blue Oval remains unconvinced that parity between the Mustang and Chevrolet’s Camaro has been achieved.
Global Ford Performance boss Mark Rushbrook spoke out on the ongoing matter on Saturday.
