Erebus signs Coca-Cola as naming rights sponsor

EREBUS Motorsport’s pair of Chevrolet Camaros will sport primary backing from Coca-Cola for the next two Repco Supercars Championship seasons.

The team has announced a deal with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners that will include adopting a new ‘Coca-Cola Racing by Erebus’ moniker.

Coca-Cola replaces Boost Mobile as the major sponsor on the entries driven by Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki, who are also signed to Erebus through to the end of 2024.

The drinks giant has been the ‘official beverage partner’ of Erebus since 2019 but has featured more prominently at other teams over the last three years.

Major Coca-Cola backing moved between Team Sydney, Brad Jones Racing and PremiAir Racing from 2020 to 2022.

While those deals included Chris Pither as either driver or co-driver, the Kiwi is not mentioned as part of the Erebus announcement.

The Erebus deal marks a return to a two-car Coca-Cola effort for the first time since 1996, which came amid a lengthy partnership with Wayne Gardner Racing.

“We are so excited to welcome Coca-Cola as our naming rights partner next year,” said Erebus managing director, Shannen Kiely.

“We have enjoyed a close partnership with CCEP for a number of years and we are looking forward to this next chapter as we move into an exciting time in the sport.

“We can’t wait to see two red Camaros on track next season.”

Lyndon Hunter, National Partnerships Manager, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Australia added his enthusiasm over increasing the brand’s involvement with Erebus.

“It’s the family atmosphere,” he said of the Betty Klimenko-owned outfit, which will next year celebrate its 10th anniversary as a Supercars squad.

“You can sense the fun and engagement with everyone in the team and I think that really resonates with us. We’re really excited to be involved and part of the family.”

The team plans to unveil its Coca-Cola colours on its currently in-build Camaros ahead of track testing in February.
