BROC Feeney couldn’t help himself when asked to compare Will Brown with his previous Triple Eight teammate Shane van Gisbergen.
“He talks a lot more to the TV!” Feeney laughed, speaking on the Motorsport News Podcast.
Brown is a bubbly, extroverted personality, while three-time champion SVG is far more introverted and increasingly steered clear of the spotlight last season before departing for the United States.
But more seriously, Feeney spoke glowingly of both drivers.
“I had a great time with Shane, to be honest,” said the #88 Red Bull Ampol driver.
“We got along fantastic. He helped me out quite a bit in those first couple of years.
“They’re both super-fast race drivers.
“Obviously Shane had been around for quite a while in Supercars so he has got such a big bank of knowledge and to be honest, I suppose me and Will are still trying to feed off that information.
“I know Will, when he got to the team, was loving digging into all Shane’s old footage and data, because it’s not something you get to do at another team.
“It’s been good. I get along fantastic with both of those guys. It has been pretty smooth with Will so far.”
