A TCR Australia debutant will be on a 13-car grid this weekend at Phillip Island, with Brad Harris joining the series.
The 30-year-old New South Welshman has been unveiled as the buyer of the Wall Racing Honda Civic Type R which V8 Sleuth last month reported was changing hands.
Harris has previously raced in categories including the Mazda Group Production Series and RX8 Cup.
His car was driven by Fabian Coulthard and Tim Slade last year.
“I’m used to front-wheel-drives but I will just need to get used to the TCR wings while gaining valuable experience on the slick tyres,” Harris said.
“The car has plenty of power, more than I have driven with before but everything went really well at the test, so that gives me plenty of confidence.
“We want to go out and have some fun, the aim isn’t to break any records but to see if we can be somewhere in the mid-pack. It’s a big learning weekend.
“Wall Racing has been very accommodating, helping us get in the car and get used to the car… they have been very helpful with the production side of things, and I cannot wait to get started.”
The other key changes to the TCR Australia Round 2 entry list is the presence of two new marques, with Tom Oliphant and Michael Clemente to now steer a Lynk & Co and Cupra Leon, respectively.
