Suspension theft sidelines Super2 Mustang

ZANE Morse will miss final Super2 practice at Bathurst this afternoon after being the victim of a brazen theft.

THE AIM Motorsport driver suffered suspension damage this morning after clipping the wall during Practice 1 at the season-opener.

Efforts to repair the pink #11 Mustang have been halted by two rear uprights being stolen in plain sight.

“Have some crap news: While we were out at Practice 1 someone has stolen a box containing both rear uprights, one of which we need to repair car 11,” AIM reported via social media.

“(We are) unable to go out in practice to due to this.

“If anyone has seen the big black box with red lid, please let us know.”

That will make for two Fords missing from Super2 Practice 2, after Mason Kelly crashed heavily at the end of the morning session.

Super2 Practice 2 will start at 3:25pm AEDT.
