SVG’s last Holden returned to Bathurst-winning colours

THE most successful chassis in Supercars history has undergone a livery change in time for this weekend’s Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival.

888A-054, also known as ‘Chastitii’, is the Triple Eight-built Holden ZB Commodore which was driven by Shane van Gisbergen in seasons 2020-22.

That period included two championships and two Bathurst 1000 wins for the Kiwi, who is these days carving out a NASCAR career in the United States.

Chastitii retired after the 2022 Adelaide 500, where it sported a special predominantly white livery as part of celebrations farewelling Holden from the sport.

It had retained that look thereafter – until now.

The Peter Xiberras-owned car has reverted to its 2020 Great Race-winning colours, fittingly for its presence in the Adelaide event’s PremiAir Hire Bathurst winners’ category.

Several other Bathurst-conquering cars are at the March 16-17 festival, such as the famous Holden Dealer Team VH Commodore SS which won the 1982 and 1983 editions of the ‘1000’.
