Walkinshaw Racing Services re-launched

THE performance business that supplies solutions to Walkinshaw Andretti United has been re-launched under a new banner, and is now open for business.

Now known as Walkinshaw Racing Services, the Clayton-based business encompasses a wide range of race car performance solutions for all levels of the sport.

WRS has a range of elements it says can be used by small, medium and large motorsport businesses in all facets of the sport, including circuit racing, speedway and rallying.

Its manufacturing capabilities include CNC machines and 3D printers, a chassis build and fabrication shop, and paint and panel shops, as well as its well-known engine shop.

The WRS engine arm services engines for a range of other clients, including work for Supercar teams as well as Melbourne Performance Centre on its V10 Audi GT3 powerplants. It also handles new race and road engine builds, including Ford and Holden V8s, as well as restorations.

“People likely think we’re too expensive or difficult to find or don’t want to know about other segments of motorsport, but that’s most certainly not the case,” says CEO Bruce Stewart.

“You don’t need a Supercar to get in the door at WRS. Club racers, state and national level competitors can all tap into the know-how of our business, our capabilities, our people and equipment and infrastructure.

“It’s the same expertise that has won multiple Bathurst 1000s and V8 Supercar Championships and it’s there for the motorsport industry to call upon. No job is too big or too small.”

WAU Supercars star Chaz Mostert has voiced a series of podcast ads to promote Walkinshaw Racing Services via the Motorsport Podcast Network over upcoming months, featuring in the Motorsport News Podcast and Special Stage RallySport Podcast.

WRS supplies services to Walkinshaw Andretti United, the entity that runs two Mustangs in the Repco Supercars Championship, a pair of Commodores in the Dunlop Super2 Series and a Toyota 86 entry for Matthew Hillyer.
