THE Repco Bathurst 1000 is the jewel in the crown of the Repco Supercars Championship and fans of Mount Panorama can add a board game to their collection of ‘Mountain memorabilia’.
The ‘Brrroom Bathurst 1000 Full Throttle Strategy Board Game’ is available here now and is a Supercars Official Licensed Product that commemorates the 60th anniversary of the ‘Great Race’ at Mount Panorama.
Officially launched at last October’s race where game creator, Richard Lloyd of The Iconic Games Company, attended and presented each driver, co-driver and team manager with a copy of the game, the Brrroom Bathurst 1000 board game is for two to six players for ages eight and above.
Just like the real race a player can stay in the game until the end and each new game brings to the table so many possibilities that no two games play out the same – sounds very much like the Supercars classic each year!
All 23 corners of the world-famous circuit are represented on the playing board along with a range of factual information and images from history of the ‘Great Race’ representing the corresponding sections of the racetrack.
It wouldn’t be a Bathurst game without a Shootout and the Brrroom Bathurst 1000 starts with a Shootout of its own as players compete for pole position and their place on the starting grid.
Choosing more dice to roll increases the chances of going faster but uses more fuel, a conundrum which many a Supercars driver has dealt with at Bathurst!
There’s even the opportunity for a Safety Car to be deployed in the game, allowing for players to use strategy to optimise their chance of winning.
