EREBUS Motorsport and Walkinshaw Andretti United are today giving a handful of young drivers the chance to steer Repco Supercars Championship Commodores at Winton Motor Raceway.
The two teams are joined at the Victorian venue by fellow Melbourne-based squads Tickford Racing and Team 18, who are running regular test days ahead of the resumption of the season later this month.

Erebus and WAU are both undertaking an Evaluation Day, one of which is permitted per team per season under Supercars’ strict testing rules.
The former is fielding young guns Jaylyn Robotham and Reef McCarthy, who compete with Image Racing in Super2 and Super3 respectively under the Erebus Academy banner.
Their day doubles as a test run for the EMH 04 chassis recently rebuilt by the team ahead of its appearance as a wildcard at Bathurst for Greg Murphy and Richie Stanaway.
Will Brown’s co-driver Jack Perkins is on hand to help the youngsters, which includes the ability to complete up to 10 laps in the car, while Murphy and Stanaway remain in New Zealand.
The Kiwis are scheduled to have their first run in the car in mid-November.
WAU is giving Super2 driver Zane Morse, TCR Australia young gun Aaron Cameron and S5000 driver Cooper Webster laps in one of its Commodores.
They are driving the car most recently raced by Kurt Kostecki as a wildcard (WR 018), while Chaz Mostert’s co-driver Lee Holdsworth is assisting the trio at the circuit.
Tickford Racing meanwhile has all three of its Mustangs and their respective Bathurst combinations on hand for a full test day.
That includes Super2 driver Zak Best, who was yesterday confirmed as co-driver to Jack Le Brocq in place of Alex Premat, having his first laps in the Truck Assist Mustang.
Team 18 is fielding both of its Commodores; primary drivers Scott Pye and Mark Winterbottom joined by the former’s co-driver James Golding.
Winterbottom’s co-driver, Sydney-based Michael Caruso, is absent.
The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship will resume with the first of four consecutive rounds at Sydney Motorsport Park on October 29-31.
A six-day Repco Bathurst 1000 event also featuring Australian Racing Group categories will then conclude the season from November 30-December 5.
