MOUNT Panorama has bitten again in Dunlop Series qualifying at the Repco Bathurst 1000.
It was a sweet and sour session for Supercars powerhouse Triple Eight, as Angelo Mouzouris crashed while teammate Broc Feeney scored pole for Race 1 of the weekend.

Mouzouris, 20, came unstuck on the run to Forrest Elbow with just under a minute of the 20 remaining, effectively ending the session.
He tagged the left-side fence in the unnamed bends on the way to the Elbow, losing control and subsequently making heavy contact again on the left-side.
Although the incident was somewhat reminiscent of Chaz Mostert’s qualifying crash in 2015, the impacts were less severe and Mouzouris emerged unscathed.
“We were pushing for a qual lap on a set of greens and nicked the wall into Forrest Elbow and it was game over from there,” explained Mouzouris.
Triple Eight initially hoped to repair the car at the circuit ahead of Race 1 on Friday, but the damage proved too great and the entry was eventually withdrawn.
The incident locked Feeney’s earlier 2:06.3978s into pole position, 0.3919s ahead of Jayden Ojeda (MW Motorsport Nissan).

Jordan Boys (Image Racing Holden) ended up third ahead of Feeney’s title rival Zak Best (Tickford Ford), Matt Payne (KGR Nissan) and Tyler Everingham (MWM Nissan).
Aaron Seton (Matt Stone Racing Holden) was seventh and Mouzouris eighth.
The session had earlier been interrupted when Super3 Series leader Nash Morris spun on the high-speed entry to the Chase.
Morris’ Boost Mobile Falcon glanced the concrete with its front and rear ends as it rotated into the gravel trap.

Two red flag delays resulted in a short delay to the start of the opening practice session for the Repco Bathurst 1000.
