Champ Car legend enters Bathurst 12 Hour

HIGH-PROFILE IndyCar personality Paul Tracy has announced he will contest the 2024 Repco Bathurst 12 Hour.

Winner of the 2003 Champ Car World Series and a long-time commentator until recently, Tracy previously tackled the once-around-the-clock Mount Panorama enduro in 2019.

That came as an injury replacement for Boris Said and saw Tracy join forces with Paul Morris, Anton De Pasquale and Keith Kassulke in a MARC II Ford Mustang. The quartet retired from the race after 189 laps due to an engine issue.

His 2024 tilt will be with Morris’ son Nash, and Danny Stutterd, in a TekworkX Motorsport-run Innovation Race Cars GT.

“I am over the moon to be returning to the famous Bathurst 12 Hour,” said Tracy.

“I made my return back into the driver’s seat, after a long hiatus, at the 12 Hour in 2019.

“The track is one of the most challenging I have ever driven in my career.

“That time I was invited to team up with Paul Morris, and it’s exciting to drive alongside his up-and-coming son Nash this time around.

“The IRC GT will be an exciting car to race around the iconic Mount Panorama circuit.”

The 2024 Bathurst 12 Hour will be held across February 16-18.
