CARL Cox will compete next week at The Dragway at The Bend as part of the Riverbend Nationals event.
The global DJ, whose Carl Cox Motorsport organisation fields a Cupra for Clay Richards in TCR Australia, will race a Ford Capri at the April 5-7 showcase.
“I’ll be bringing down my Capri Twin Turbo to The Bend for the first time and my class is going to be Top Sportsman, so look out for car number 6209,” Cox announced via social media.
“We’re really looking to run some good numbers down there and be competitive, but it looks like we’re going to have a lot of fun.
“So I’m going to be down there, come and join us, Carl Cox Motorsport/Carl Cox Drag Racing.
“We’re going to be down and representing Top Sportsman and we’re going to have a lot of fun.”
The Bend CEO Alistair MacDonald added: “After hosting global F1 commentator ‘Crofty’ (David Croft) here at the Shell V-Power Motorsport Park last week it’s fantastic to have another well-known motorsport identity in Carl Cox enjoying The Bend.
“Carl is another huge addition to the event for the fans and to have him actually competing here with his team is great for South Australia.”
