PRE-ORDER: HISTORY OF HOLDEN DEALER TEAM AT BATHURST PRINT

A STUNNING new print celebrating the Holden Dealer Team’s history at Bathurst is set to be released by acclaimed artist Peter Hughes.

The limited-edition print features every single car entered by the Holden Dealer Team in the ‘Great Race’, from its victorious beginning under Harry Firth in the 1969 Bathurst 500, through to its end under the HDT Racing banner with Peter Brock’s underdog triumph in the 1987 Bathurst 1000.

Click HERE to pre-order the print via the V8 Sleuth Bookshop.

The driver roster across the fleet of entries includes some of the biggest names in Australian motorsport, headlined by Bathurst-winning drivers Brock, Colin Bond, Tony Roberts, Jim Richards, Larry Perkins, the late John Harvey, David Parsons and Peter McLeod, plus Le Mans 24 Hours winner Vern Schuppan, the versatile Leo Geoghegan, top female racers Christine Gibson (then Christine Cole) and Sandra Bennett, plus a host of racers from Australia and overseas that raced under the HDT banner at Mount Panorama.

The cars themselves follow the evolution of Holden’s flagship performance models, from the Monaro GTS 350 to the six-cylinder Torana XU-1, the V8-powered L34 and A9X, the winged and flared Group C Commodores, and finally the homologation special Group A SS Commodores.

The print is 1 metre wide, printed offset in Australia in an individually numbered limited edition on 250gsm Matte paper stock.

Each print will be hand-signed and numbered by the artist and comes individually packaged in a shipping tube.
