CAMERON Crick has announced his return to the V8 SuperUte Series for what shapes to be the biggest year of his motorsport career.
Crick is chipping away at a Repco Supercars Championship wildcard program with Matt Stone Racing, testing with the squad earlier this month.
While there’s no official news on that front as yet, Crick is going to be keeping sharp via V8 SuperUtes.
Previously a regular in the category, the 26-year-old funnelled his focus into Super2 the last two years with Eggleston Motorsport.
Now, he’s back in V8 SuperUtes, armed with a pair of notable ex-Erebus Motorsport sponsors.
Southern Cross Truck Rentals has taken naming rights on his #7 Ford Ranger, while Shaw and Partners appears in a more minor capacity.
Both left Erebus in recent weeks in the wake of the Brodie Kostecki feud, as did Coca-Cola – which has shifted its support to Tickford Racing.
The V8 SuperUtes season will commence at next weekend’s Thrifty Bathurst 500.
Among the field will be Aaron Borg, as he begins his quest for a title three-peat.
