GRANT DENYER: V8 SLEUTH PODCAST

GRANT Denyer joins us for this week’s episode of the V8 Sleuth Podcast powered by Timken.

The Super2 Series race winner, Bathurst 12 Hour runner-up and Gold Logie winner reflects on his remarkable career to date in motorsport – both in front of the camera and behind the wheel.

Starting with his years as a broadcaster on the Trackside program that showcased all of V8 Supercars’ support categories, Denyer talks about the decisions that got him his big break on TV (the Sunrise weatherman gig) and his opportunity to join Dick Johnson Racing in the Development Series – and how the latter went horribly wrong at the first event.

He also looks back at the DVS weekend at Mallala in 2005 that helped solidify his belief in his driving ability, learns that he forever has a link with David Thexton, the time he raced the Bathurst 1000 for Craig Gore, plus the moment he realised he had to choose between his driving and TV careers, and he tackles your National Motor Racing Museum Couch Racer Questions and our Motorfocus Top 10 Shootout.
