MAJOR MILESTONE FOR V8 SLEUTH PODCAST POWERED BY TIMKEN

Co-host Aaron Noonan with John Bowe, the two-time Bathurst 1000 winner was the first V8 Sleuth Podcast guest in 2019.

THE V8 Sleuth Podcast Powered by Timken has just reach a significant milestone, surpassing 500,000 downloads.

The podcast, hosted by V8 Sleuth’s Aaron Noonan and Will Dale and launched in 2019, has proven to be a major hit with Australian motorsport fans with its unique blend of in-depth interviews, fan Q&A engagement and classic race car content.

Published weekly, each episode generally goes live at midday every Wednesday. Previous interview guests have included a who’s who of Australasian motorsport including Mark Webber, Mark Skaife, Scott McLaughlin, Jamie Whincup, Jim Richards and many, many more.

“We’re very proud of what we’ve been able to build with the podcast and that has been a logical addition to the content we publish on our website and social media accounts,” says podcast co-host Noonan.

“We’ve had tremendous support from the listeners and the industry and of particular satisfaction is that we’ve built our audience from scratch and done it via our own platform.

Timken is the naming rights partner of the popular V8 Sleuth Podcast in 2020. It has been a staunch supporter of Australian motorsport – this is Nick Percat’s 2019 Newcastle 500 livery. Supplied: Brad Jones Racing.

“Doric were our foundation presenting partners last year and really did help us get the podcast rolling and we’ve been very proud to have Timken on board in 2020 as our presenting partner.

“Castrol, the National Motor Racing Museum and Motorfocus have also joined us for the 2020 series and we’ve had lots of interest from a range of other organisations that want to get involved.

“There’s always plenty of email and social media feedback pouring in every week from listeners with lots of suggestions for future guests and the odd curly question for us to dig up an answer to.

“It’s full steam ahead every week to keep delivering interesting, informative and unique material for our ever-growing audience. We’ll also have a significant level of Bathurst content in the lead up to ‘The Great Race’ on October 18.”

This week’s V8 Sleuth Podcast Powered by Timken episode is a special ‘Classic Car’ feature, focusing on the race history and current restoration of the 1997 Peter Brock/Mark Skaife Holden Racing Team Commodore VS.

Hosts Aaron Noonan and Will Dale will be joined by car owner Ben Eggleston to discuss the car’s amazing history and detail the in-depth restoration project that will bring it back to the track in the near-future.
